The seems to be the only place where the arming levels for the fob are discussed.  It was not in the sheet which comes with the fob or in the various manuals.

    Clarke,

The article above should give you all of the information necessary for the 4 button keyfobs, if you have any additional questions or concerns please let us know!

I'm unclear on what the star button does. Can it open my garage door or not? Would there be any other programmed use for it?

    John and Tara,

I'm sorry if its unclear in the above article but the star button does not currently have a function, its for ''future use''. Per GE, you will be able to use it to open your garage door in the future but they haven't produced the necessary equipment for that as of yet. At this time there is no other programmable option for it either.

I hope this makes sense, let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Is there an option to change the programming of the keyfob buttons.  We use the keyfob to turn the system on and off from our bedroom but would like to:

    1) arm the system in away mode with entry delay turned off (found this in the 4321 programming dgdgmeffdsnu)

    2) arm the system in away mode with 'silent exit' so it doesnt beep for the 60 seconds prior to arming

    3) arm the system with one button press so it is not necessary to push the lock button twice

    Brian,

Great question but unfortunately the programming on the keyfob can not be manipulated.

However, if you go into programming and set the keyfob no delay to on then when you arm the system with it you will no longer have a delay on your doors, so if a door is opened it will trigger an immediate alarm.

The silent exit can only be done manually from the panel itself...or you could turn all beeps off on the system so that it never beeps...

When it comes to arming, 1 button press arms the system for the ''stay'' mode and 2 button presses arms it for the ''away'' mode. This is something that cannot be changed in the system or on the keyfob.

I have multiple Z-Wave lights setup. Is there any way to have the "Light" button to just turn on a default light or is it always just going to turn them all on?

    David,

The light button on the keychain will simply turn all your z-wave lights on or off. Individual control can be achieved using the control panel or remotely from the alarm.com mobile app.

I have the IQ panel. I would like to state that I would love it if I could program either the light bulb button or the star to open my Linear Z wave garage door opener GD004/5. Thanks a bunch live watch, you guys have been awesome.
