After your account is tested for signals and it is activated, it will be placed on a 72 hour test period. The purpose of this is to prevent false alarms, and it is required by law in some areas, since the majority of false alarms occur in the first few days after an alarm system has been activated with monitoring service.
You will be receiving reminders in your email with the date and that time that the test period will expire on your account.
If you have purchased your system some time ago and are familiar with it, you may request to have the test period waived on your account. During your activation appointment, our technician will explain the purpose of the test period, and that we are not responsible for any false alarms that may occur due to your system being active prior to the test period expiration.
