Follow these directions to add keyfobs like the Ademco 5804 into an Ademco Vista Series or SafeWatch panel.
Your alarm system needs to include a wireless receiver or a keypad with a built in receiver in order for these keyfobs to work. You will also need to know the installer code and have an alpha keypad in order to program the keyfobs.
First make sure the panel is disarmed. Then type in(or your installer code if it is different) followed by . You should see this screen.
If you do not see this exact screen you either have the wrong installer code or you do not have a programming keypad, hitand do not try to continue.
If you do see that screen then type inand you will enter zone programming.
Set to Confirm?
Pushfor yes and you will be taken to the zone number screen. We are going to start with zone 49 for the keyfobs, so type in .
Enter Zn Num.
Hitto continue to a summary screen for zone 49.

Hitto continue to the zone type screen. We will program the first keyfob button to arm the panel in away mode so type in . (You will use 22 for disarming, 20 for arming stay, or 07 for a panic.)

Hitto continue to the partition screen. Push for partition 1.
Hitto continue to the report code screen. It should look like this, if not type in .

Hitto continue to the input type screen. Push and you should see this.

Hitto continue to the serial number screen.

Hold down the button on keyfob until the panel beeps and shows the serial number. Wait 10 seconds and then hold down the button again for the loop number. Hitto continue to the next screen.
Xmit to confirm
Press * to Skip
Wait another 10 seconds and hold down the button one more time to confirm the serial and loop numbers. This will then take you back to the summary screen.

Pressfor no and you will return to the zone number screen.
Enter Zn Num.
From here you will need to continue to program a zone for each remaining button on each keyfob by repeating the above procedure. When you are done type into quit and you will see this.

Type into exit programming mode and return to the main screen.
Your keyfob is programmed at this point but now we will need to assign the keyfob to your arming and disarming code before it will actually work.
From the main screen you will need to type in your 4 digit master code followed byand you should hear a single beep. If you do not hear the beep try typing in the entire command again without any pauses. (In this sequence 02 is the user number and 49 is any one of the zones assigned to that keyfob, so these numbers will change if you are adding multiple keyfobs and/or assigning them to different codes.)
Now try arming and disarming the panel using the keyfob.
