Your Master Control Unit provides a delay after entering or exiting your home before the system is armed or disarmed.
Some active sensors cause immediate alarms when tripped. Other sensors, if enrolled in a delayed response group, start an entry delay that lets you enter the premises and disarm the system. When you enter your home, you will hear beeps during the entry delay . If the system has not been disarmed by the end of the entry delay, an alarm occurs. (The default time for the entry and exit delay are usually 45 seconds)
The exit delay is the amount of time the system gives you to exit the home before the system is armed. During the delay, you can vacate the premises through a delayed response door without causing an alarm. Beeps will sound during the exit delay. (The default time for the entry and exit delay are usually 45 seconds)
